Here at the Sally we only want to serve you food which is fresh, local and good quality. To guarantee all the food we serve you is cooked fresh on the day, our menu has just three main courses. We have two permanent dishes which are locally-sourced, quintessential pub classics; ham, egg and chips and the ploughman’s lunch. To supplement these, our chefs cook ‘The Third Dish’. The Third Dish changes each lunchtime and is therefore cooked fresh each time. No microwaving, no re-heating, just great quality food.

Hot, freshly baked pasties are served Tuesday to Thursday from noon until 2pm and Lunch is served Friday to Sunday from noon until 2pm. Please note we don’t take bookings or reservations and we don’t serve food in the evenings except for our Monday night Hotpot and Pint Nights.

 

Monday 6th August Hot-Pot and Pint Night – Gloucester Old Spot sausages from our own pigs in a vegetable, cider and bean casserole

 

This week’s Third Dishes are: 

Friday 17th August–  Tiley’s beer battered hake fillets served with hand cut chips, balsamic dressed salad and tartare sauce

Saturday 18th August – Mixed Tapas : Albondigas (meatballs), habas con chorizo (broad beans with chorizo), bacalao en tomate (cod in tomato sauce), ensalada griega (Greek salad) served with garlic bread

Sunday 19th August – Gloucester Old Spot pork chops from our own pigs braised in cider and apples, served with creamy mashed potato, roasted root vegetables, homegrown courgettes and green beans

 

Monday 20th August Hot-Pot and Pint Night – Kolkatan chicken and lentil curry, served with crusty bread and butter
